Companies meet your work long before they meet you.

A partner is a company that briefs us on a problem they are trying to solve. When one does, Cream looks for the members whose work has already solved it. Your record answers before you have written a word. Your name stays yours until you decide the conversation is worth having.

Nobody knows you are looking, because you aren't looking. Good work finds you while you are busy doing it.

Cream Search is being built now, and opens with our first partners. See the roadmap

Tallowmere, an invented company. New ground for everyone on the team today.

Growth, signed by a referenceStrategy, checked on a call

Does their best work with a clear remit and a quarter's view ahead, in their own words.

  • A member of CreamNot named
Leadership, signed by a referenceGrowth, shown

Further along in Leadership than the need asks for.

  • Elena MarshChose to be named
Growth, signed by a referenceDiscovery, checked on a call

Asked to hear more about this need, and chose to be named.

Two of these people may never be named. That isn't a failure of the process, it is the process.

Why it works for everyone involved

The right person for the problem, at the moment it matters.

Partners come to Cream with something they are trying to build or fix, not a list of requirements. Your record says which of those problems you have already solved.

When those two things meet, the conversation starts somewhere real. Your record also says who confirmed each one.

For the team you would join

They meet somebody whose experience already fits the thing in front of them, so the first conversation starts at the work. The people already on that team get a colleague who has done this before, which is worth more to them than anybody's interview.

For you

You hear about work where your experience is the reason you were thought of, at a point where it is genuinely useful to somebody. That makes a conversation worth having before it has started.

The control you keep

Your name is yours to give.

A company sees how their search is going, and how many people met the standard. It does not see who.

You are never named for a role you were not consulted on.

Who those people are stays with them until they decide otherwise. That restraint is the point: it is what makes someone willing to be on the list at all.

Your name is never released to a partner until you have told us to release it.

What moves, and who moves it Every step
  • Cream Reads the problem the partner actually has, and finds the members whose evidence meets it.
  • You hear What the role is, who it is with, and why your record was a match. They still don't know your name.
  • You decide Say no and nothing has happened. The partner is never told that somebody declined, because they were never told you were there.
  • You say yes Your name reaches them, and only then.

Peer introductions work the other way round. There, every request needs your yes, and neither name moves until both of you have given it.

The other side of this

Building a product team, rather than joining one?

Cream helps the leaders who build product teams see their people as clearly as the product itself, develop the people across the team, and complement it with the skills the next phase of the product will ask for.

Membership

Let your work speak before you do.

Most careers are read from a title and a logo. Yours can be read from what you built and who saw you build it, written down once and backed by evidence, so being known never depends on who happened to have your number.

Members never pay, at any stage.
